Thanksgiving in 2020
Happy Thanksgiving.
Well, friends - what a year. If your holiday plans include a virtual gathering, here are some recommendations for you.
If you have not already installed a video conferencing app that uses your phone or computer camera, now is the time to do so. Then go ahead and fill the area in front of your camera with all the food and holiday decorations you love and enjoy some real time together. And why not send food or have food delivered to your loved ones as well?
(If you need help setting up a video system or getting a meal to at-risk senior loved ones, remember that Overture caregivers are always just a phone call away! Contact us 24/7 for a free home care consultation at (817) 887-9401.)
And here’s another suggestion: we are lucky that the weather remains fine in North Texas, so why not get together with people outside your home in a pleasant outdoor location after the meal? Just remember that social distancing rules still apply outdoors, and be sure that everyone has a well-fitted mask if they can’t stay at least six feet apart.
Finally, here’s one more thing you can do — make plans for next year. Things are challenging now, but with multiple vaccine trials reporting successful results, hope is on the horizon.

Keep your chin up and keep your loved ones close (even if only on camera).
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.
