Announcing the Vivian Y. McNary Caregiver of the Year Award!

Congratulations to Vivian, our inaugural recipient and namesake of our new award, the Vivian Y. McNary Caregiver of the Year Award!

Vivian has been a dedicated, hard-working employee of Overture Home Care for 5 years, starting when we were just 20 caregivers to now over 200. Vivian inspires us daily with her attitude, heart, and drive to make the world a better place, and she is the ideal person to name this new award after. During our interview with her, we asked her how she felt about her 5 years with Overture and how she has enjoyed it.

Vivian told us: "My time here has been fantastic. I have learned a lot of things that I didn't know about being a caregiver before I started, both medical and personal. Being here with my clients has been remarkable and taught me a lot about life. I love working for Overture because all of the office staff have been awesome and treated me like a queen." She concluded with a piece of advice for her fellow caregivers: "Don't come into this business looking for a paycheck. You are dealing with someone's life and need to treat it with love and kindness. You may be the only person that interacts with your client. Be responsible with your time, and always show love, kindness and faithfulness. Lastly, always remember the Overture motto: Patience, Dignity and Discretion."

We are so thankful to have Vivian on our team and are proud to have named this honorable award after her. Going forward, we will be giving this award every year to a caregiver who exudes the qualities that Vivian has brought to our company, our clients, and our team. Award recipients will embody our motto of Patience, Dignity and Discretion, and be a light to others, and to our clients.
