Join Overture Home Care for The Longest Day® events in Fort Worth and Dallas
Every year, we are proud to join the Alzheimer’s Association® in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by sponsoring The Longest Day fundraising and educational events around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
The Longest Day is the summer solstice — the day with the most light. On this day the Alzheimer's Association asks us to shine that light on those who are afflicted, joining the fight against Alzheimer's disease by raising funds and awareness for care, support, and research.
This year, The Longest Day is Wednesday, June 21, and we are excited to tell you about the events we are sponsoring and amazing communities we are partnering with to raise awareness and funds in both Fort Worth and Dallas.
OVERTURE HOME CARE FORT WORTH
We’re getting a head start on The Longest Day in Fort Worth by co-sponsoring the Longest Day @ Museum Way luncheon at the Stayton luxury retirement community on Tuesday, June 20 from 11am to 1pm.
Please join us in supporting this event by making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association from our The Longest Day team page. For any donation of $20 or more, you are invited to join us for the luncheon, which will include very special event guests: live spider monkeys!
Have you ever met a spider monkey? Spider monkeys are adorable Central and South American simians. They are deeply social and prefer to live in cooperative groups — much like extended human families, or retirement communities like the Stayton. Unfortunately, these large groups of tree-dwelling monkeys are dependent on large expanses of tropical rainforest in which to live, explore, and gather meals of fruit, leaves and bugs. This dependence makes the monkeys vulnerable to habitat loss, and all seven species of spider monkey are considered under threat, with the brown spider monkey considered critically endangered.
Please join us at the Stayton on Tuesday, June 20 to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s disease — and also to meet and raise awareness for a group of charming spider monkey friends.

This year we are thrilled to increase our participation in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by co-sponsoring The Longest Day events from our Dallas office as well as from our Fort Worth office.
On Wednesday, June 21 from 8am to 5pm, we are co-sponsoring a day of hope, dedication, and encouragement for the residents of Presbyterian Village North at 8600 Skyline Drive. The festivities will include a walk, a 5K fun run, a wheelchair event, tap dancers, singers, a live DJ, and happy hour fun to end the day in celebration.
