Out and About with Overture Home Care: December 2024

As we close out 2024, Overture Home Care reflects on a season filled with celebrations, new connections, and meaningful community involvement. Here’s a look at what we were up to in December!

Quarterly Marketing Meeting: Setting Goals for 2025

At our quarterly marketing meeting, we welcomed new team members and set exciting goals for 2025. The meeting focused on refining our strategies, improving our outreach, and expanding our services, ensuring we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those we care for.

Board and Brush Mid Cities Event

This December, we had the pleasure of introducing Vanessa, our new Community Liaison, at a local referral source event. Vanessa is excited to foster new relationships with healthcare professionals, senior communities, and other partners to help Overture Home Care expand its reach and deliver exceptional care to even more families in our community.

Wreath-Making Event

Our team got into the holiday spirit by helping host a wreath-making event. Ribbons, creativity, and a pizza party— what more could you ask for this holiday season? It was a lovely way to connect, be creative, and spread some holiday cheer.

Trending Women Tarrant County Fundraiser

We were honored to attend the Trending Women Tarrant County first annual fundraiser, where we donated two door prizes and spent time networking with other women in business. The event also included fun activities like musical bingo, and we enjoyed spending time with residents of StoneCreek Senior Living as we sang along to holiday tunes and shared a meal.

Teepa Snow

We were honored to be the platinum sponsors of the Teepa Snow Dallas Dementia Symposium for the second year in a row! It was an incredible experience connecting with professionals and learning from Teepa Snow herself. From the six pieces of the dementia care puzzle to mastering solutions for challenging situations, we’re committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.

Holiday Party at The Stayton

Attending the Holiday party with referral sources at The Stayton was a delightful experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues and partners, share in the holiday spirit, and express gratitude for the continued support and collaboration throughout the year.

Hot Chocolate Bar

Our team showed up to support our partners at Bader House Plano, where we helped host a Hot Chocolate Bar for residents and visitors!

Passing out Treats at The Vantage

Helping the Vantage team pass out hot cocoa during the holidays and distribute gifts for Christmas morning was an incredibly heartwarming experience. There were so many baked goods and sweet treats.

Jingle All the Way Fun Run/Walk: Supporting Meals on Wheels

Ashley participated in the Jingle All the Way Fun Run/Walk, through the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, benefitting Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center. It was an energizing event to help raise funds for a cause close to our hearts—ensuring that local seniors receive nutritious meals and vital support.

Dementia Live Coaching Certification

A special milestone this month—Julianna and Vanessa became officially certified Dementia Live Coaches after completing training with James L. West. This certification will allow us to offer even more specialized care and education for families dealing with dementia, enhancing the quality of care we provide.

ESCAPE Support Group Christmas Activity

Vanessa joined Stephanie Duke, with Stephanie Duke Resources for the ESCAPE Support Group’s Christmas activity, where they created homemade Christmas cards. It was a heartwarming way to engage with the community and spread some holiday cheer to those attending the group.

Overture Partners with Stevenson Oaks

Stop by and visit our newest Overture Home Care, Nursing office located in Stevenson Oaks Retirement Community. We’re thrilled to have our nurse, Kara Naquin Jones, RN, BSN along with our excellent caregivers there to assist Residents of Stevenson Oaks.

TAGS Drive-Thru Donation Event

The TAGS Board handed out cinnamon rolls and provided CEUs for attendees at their drive-thru donation event collecting food for The First Street Mission, Fort Worth. It was a fantastic way to support the community and connect with others who share our mission of care and advocacy.

Thoughtful Gift from Caregiver Gloria Compton

We were touched by a special gift from one of our caregivers, Gloria Compton. Gloria hand-made tissue box sleeves that look like people—each one uniquely crafted. It was a beautiful, personal touch that brightened our offices and reminded us of the kindness within our team. Thank you Gloria!

Holiday Parties and Community Food Drives

Both our Dallas and Fort Worth offices celebrated the holiday season with Holiday parties where everyone brought food donations for the North Texas Food Bank Dallas and the Community Food Bank of Fort Worth. It was a heartwarming way to give back and support families in need during the holiday season.

The Stayton at Museum Way’s Holiday Happy Hour

Stephanie and Alex had the fun opportunity to act as bartenders at The Stayton’s Holiday Happy Hour. It was a wonderful chance to connect, have fun, and support our partner.

Trinity Terrace Holiday Party

Stephanie represented Overture at the Trinity Terrace Holiday Party, where she mingled with residents and fellow community members, spreading cheer and celebrating the holiday season with others.

Watermere Preserve Holiday Party

Overture Home Care proudly sponsored the photo booth at the Watermere Preserve Holiday Party. It was a fun way to capture memories while supporting local senior communities during their holiday celebration.

Heartis Mid Cities Christmas Happy Hour

We wrapped up the month by attending the Heartis Mid Cities Christmas Happy Hour where we had festive cranberry mimosas.

Reflecting on a Year of Impact

As we look back on December and the rest of 2024, we’re filled with gratitude for all the wonderful people, events, and opportunities that have come our way. The holiday season has been a reminder of why we do what we do: to make a positive impact in our community and support those who need it most.

Thank you to everyone who made this holiday season special. We look forward to an even more exciting 2025 and the continued privilege of serving our clients, their families, and our healthcare and community partners!

Happy Holidays from Overture Home Care!
