HSC Health has been selected by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to participate in the GUIDE Model, a new Medicare initiative aimed at enhancing care for individuals with dementia and their caregivers. A key partner in this effort is Overture Home Care, which will provide essential respite services to support caregivers.

Launched on July 1, the GUIDE Model focuses on improving care coordination and access to vital services. HSC Health will work alongside Overture Home Care to ensure caregivers receive the necessary support, including temporary breaks from their responsibilities. Janice Knebl, chief medical officer at HSC, emphasized the importance of education and training for caregivers, which will be a core part of the initiative

Several of our Overture team members attended The Tarrant Area Gerontological Society’s (TAGS) Annual Summer Forum on July 16th. The theme for this year’s event was “Cruising into Summer,” featuring six hours of continuing education units (CEU’s) with various keynote speakers covering important current topics in the geriatric healthcare field.

We’re doing it again! On October 28 in Fort Worth — and November 4 in Dallas — Overture Home Care will be sponsoring and participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association® Walk to End Alzheimer's®.

The Overture Home Care team was out and about all month in August, bringing insights and information to an important senior care podcast, supplying vital training to a senior community in Dallas, and debuting as a featured small business in the new Southlake & Grapevine Scout Guide.
