The Dementia Journey: Love Remembers
The Dementia Journey: Love Remembers — First United Methodist church of fort Worth women's April Luncheon
Overture Home Care was proud to attend and support the United Methodist Women’s April Luncheon, The Dementia Journey: Love Remembers, held on Tuesday, April 1, at First United Methodist Church Fort Worth.
This special event brought together community members to shine a light on dementia awareness, education, and support. The luncheon featured an inspiring presentation by Kathe Goodwin, FUMC member and author, who shared her personal journey of love and caregiving. Attendees also heard from Dr. Wesley Alderete, co-vice president of DFFW who offered a physician’s perspective on dementia, providing a clinical overview of the disease’s progression, early warning signs, and the importance of timely diagnosis and supportive care and Gail Snider, Executive Director of Dementia Friendly Fort Worth (DFFW), who offered an overview of the vital resources and services available through the organization.
Paige Wolk, Senior Vice President of Overture Home Care and Co-Vice President of the Board of Directors for Dementia Friendly Fort Worth, was honored to attend the luncheon alongside fellow board members, Pam Brandon, President, Kimberly Bird Peters, Dr. Brenda Brooks-Alexander, Marsha Ammons, Susan Idleman , Debbie Kercho , and Sharon West. Overture Home Care proudly supports DFFW through ongoing monthly financial contributions and is grateful to consider this impactful organization our local charity of choice.
As always, Overture remains deeply committed to providing exceptional care to those living with dementia and their families—and to supporting community initiatives that foster compassion, understanding, and education around memory care.
Love remembers—and so do we.
